Bitterness

A lot of the time we don't even realize when we're being bitter towards someone or about something.
And we don't realize how bad it is to be bitter. It's destructive. But mostly to the one being bitter.
Holding on to bitterness and un-forgiveness hinders our relationships with others and with God.

Ephesians 4:31-32
"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ also forgave you."

If we want to live up to our full potential in Christ we have to let go of bitterness.
It's vital to how we love others and how we love God. It's like an anchor, it just keeps us in one place and if you're stuck in one place how can you move forward?

Bitterness also leads to a lot of other things; ungratefulness, faithlessness, discontentment, and being unforgiving and unkind.

It's really important to look at yourself and figure out whether or not you've been bitter toward people or even God.
Bitterness is not of God. Which means it's wrong, so we have to let go of it.

Let It Go.

Sometimes you realize you need to make a change.
So you take a good long look at your life.
Praying, listening, and hoping to find out what needs to change.

I'm kinda there right now.
God has been showing me that there are some things from the past that I never fully let go of. If they're still giving me nightmares and making me sad then it's time to fully let go.
It's time.
Time to move forward.
Philippians 3:13
"Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead."

Forgetting what's behind us.
Reaching forward to what is ahead.

Sounds pretty impossible. Well;

Philippians 4:13
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
ALL things.
So that means; with God's strength, NOT my strength, I can forget the past and move forward to everything that God has for me.
So can you.
:) So, let go.
Give it to God, see what He does with it. :)

Be A Risk Taker.

This is a lesson I've been learning in my life lately, enjoy!

Playing it safe isn't always the best way to play it. Sometimes God challenges us to do something we've never thought of. Well, God sees a bigger picture than what we see. All we can REALLY see is what's happening NOW. Sometimes despite of our fears of the bad that COULD happen, we have to step out of our comfort zone and take a risk. There's a bigger chance that something amazing will happen, and it's guaranteed to be for the best if God told you to step out and do it.
Our life, as we're following Jesus, won't always be easy. But we'll never be alone.
We might be afraid of what others will think, but if God says "YES" Nobody can say "NO".
We need to walk in obedience to our God.
Trust Him. Step out in faith. God will reward you for your obedience to Him.
And don't be afraid, fear is NEVER from God! And why would you want to listen to something that wasn't from God? We have NOTHING to fear because we have GOD. <3

"For God gave us a spirit NOT of fear but of POWER and LOVE and SELF-CONTROL."
~ 2 Timothy 1:7

Here's an example of obedience, risk taking, and stepping out in faith from the bible:

Hebrews 11:8-10

"By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. By faith he made his home in the promised land like a stranger in a foreign country; he lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise. For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God."

I want to be like Abraham!
